Keep Off Demon

Keep Of Demon! (Revised)
By Karen Pamela Acosta

Every Filipino has all the rights and responsibilities of having an excellent and righteous way of life through our journey to God’s home. But what if demon suddenly and unexpectedly steps into the scene?
Filipino teenagers nowadays are more impulsive and wilder. They are prone of weakened moral values and sometimes with just a slight push; they will nearly turn their backs to God and forget Him easily. There are these deceiving evil possessions that exist with them in this planet that force them to commit mortal or grave sins and create it as their habit. Sometimes, they are not aware of their own actions that causes them to ignore God’s rule that people shall do good and at least stay away from evil things. They may consider it as a treasure pit but it is truly the way to hell.
As we see in our busy daily life, crimes and different kind of war occur every minute. Firing out of guns, killing, stealing, kidnapping, car napping, cheating and other violence are examples of crimes and we are really aware of that. But the worst about it is the range of age of crime committers or the bad guy of the society comes lower and lower. Minors were caught participating to the said violence that made the people of the society shocked and discouraged. The feeling of being safe and secured is taken away. Example of this situation is that, minors are used by bad guys/mastermind to do crimes against others. Unluckily, the minors caught would not be jailed instead be handled by DSWD.
But what is really the problem of this scary issue of the society? Is it the lack of parental guidance or the Filipinos have been held through the neck by demon?
The last ace for this is promoting the advocacy of strengthening proper and appropriate values. It must start within the family. Parents should teach their children to be respectful, honest, discipline, God-fearing, obedient, and other good values. Parents should be the model to their children. Moreover, the individual should be responsible, hold tightly to God, believe and have undying, burning faith to Him. God should be the center and our top priority in our life.
Having a prayerful life bring us happiness and contentment on our continuous existence.  As the saying goes, “God is good, all the time” , we should act in accordance of His words and make this world peaceful, cared, united and most especially loved with all our hearts.
